Freedom Service Award
Sunday, February 8, 2009




John Scott, commander of VFW Post 4848, receives the George Washington Honor Medal from Harriet and Winton Harris of the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, PA.  The post was honored with the highest honor the foundation gives over 247 other entries for its 2008 hosting of the Memorial Day service at the National Cemetery.  The ceremony took place at Collegedale City Hall on Sunday, February 8.
